if only you knew.

bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

our prophet Muhammed once said:

"O followers of Muhammad! By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh little." [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, #627]

a mother who has been living for 40yrs, would know more than her child who has just entered the teen-age era. therefore, she looks like she's always bossing her child around telling her what should and should not be done. but the fact is that she had gone through that part of life, and she really knows what's best for her child.

the reality, we seldom or never want to take heed until things had already happened. then we go on blaming fate for the bad luck, the atrocities, the losses that we have to put up with.

face it, it's easier to live in a world where there're guidelines in every thing you do.. you won't suffer much and in the end you'll wind up in Heaven.

i may not know as much as Rasulullah, but still, when i walk in the middle of the streets of kl and cairo, looking at all those muslim faces without the clothes they should be wearing, i always cry out to myself.. if only they knew. if only they knew how easy it is to just place the hijab on your head and get an eternal reward for it. if only they realize how easy life would be without having to care about whether you're a size 2 or a size 10, since everyone's dressing so modestly. if only they wake up to the fact that life's not about turning men on and catching men's eyes only. if only they knew.

but then again, reflecting upon myself, i see that it truely is hard for people to realize that life on this earth is so temporary. i myself have not been able to sacrifice for the true meaning of life. and that's because i have never been there. i have never been in real life before. this falsely world has successfully blinded my eyes from seeing the eternal reality.

Rasulullah has clearly paved for us the right path. all we have to do is to follow it. he had been there. he had seen the things that we only heard of, he had felt the things that we only thought of. he is like the old mother while we on the other hand, rebellious teenage daughters, always wanting to choose a different path. the day you followed your mother's advice, was the very day you made the right decision, wasn't it?

if only you and i knew.

gatherings

these are among the 70 people who turned up for our first ever formal gathering. smapl 9701, great times. but actually the schooling years were funny when you think of them. especially the fights.

all's well, ends well. everybody's headed in their own directions, hopefully we are all able to walk on the straight path. allahumma ameen.

memories

bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

yesterday there was a gathering at my house, and alhamdulillah it went well. got back together with my old primary school friends. i think this is the third time in 10 years, we got back together on a formal basis. i mean, a sort of well organised gathering, with food and all. the first was in holiday villa, and the second was in pizza hut. in between, some of us met up at kedai mamak or other food places and we even had bola baling fights during our sekolah menengah era.

the gathering brought up memories and broke the ice which build up over the 10-year period. there were 14 of us, i myself, marini, nazifah, hana, raizil, suraya, shiow wei, evelyn, hui ling, huda, dennis, imran, kah foo and aaron. aaron had to leave early though since he had plans with his dad. ben shyen wasn't able to make it because now he is so committed with his church. he had something on yesterday. i'm glad to learn that he has become more religious, a 360 degrees' turn i'd say in comparison with the person he was 5-10 years ago.

most of us are still studying, most of my chinese friends took up accounting or economics or something related to commerce. wai kit, the genius of 6MJ is still the genius of his current university, being the top student there. some have already started working, namely dennis, shiow wei and kah foo. nazifah and huda both, insyAllah will graduate as qualified lawyers. imran's getting married just around the corner.

there have been lots of changes but yet marini is still the marini i knew 10 yrs ago, and so is nazifah and dennis and the rest of the gang. the only one who was totally different and had forgotten everything about sekolah rendah was kah foo.. heheh.. but he still remembers his deep passion towards batu seremban, a game budak sekolah zaman sekarang don't seem to play already.

to me the best thing about this gathering was that i was able to keep in touch with my non malay friends, whom i deeply appreciate, just as much as i appreciate and love my malay friends. and actually, to tell you the truth, although i live in a multicultural nation, because of the route of education i chose, i don't have that many non-malay pals, so i treasure those i knew during sekolah rendah so much. i'd love to collaborate with them in the near future and build a strong relationship for Malaysia to become a better place to live in. boy, i'm patriotic!

lots of love, battah.

this is mahmoud abbas. and beside him? a Murderer.
nobody, and i mean nobody-- makes peace agreements with a murderer.
these are the Soldiers. trained by Nasrullah.
filling their hearts, is deep faith.
Muslims ARE supposed to fight back.
Muslims ARE being oppressed by israel and the bush regime.
no, not all jews are bad. that's true.
we are fighting against the zionists, the ones who are turning this world into a satan haven.
the ones who are making people unaware of the purpose of creation.
the ones who have tried so hard all over the years, turning the rest of the world
into alcohol slaves, sex slaves, food and party slaves.
life is not just about having fun. and you know that.
but since everybody else is doing it, why not i?
so you say.
but then again, it's hard convincing people who are not convinced
that they're gonna live after they have died.
Yes, there's life called the afterlife. the Hereafter.
There, you are going to live for eternity.
And whether your eternal life is good, bad or ugly, is not for you to choose at that moment.
you choose it NOW. while you're still stepping on earth's ground.
not when you're already 6 feet under.
But you don't believe me, do you?
There are going to be Heaven and Hell.
Those who are good and have faith in Allah will go to heaven.
And those who are bad and do not have faith will go to hell.
I'm writing this for those who believe.
If you believe that there's an afterlife, and there are heaven and hell,
then, definitely there's a Creator.
you know, Someone who created the whole thing.
That Someone, must have created the world we live in today,
the earth, the moon, the stars, the sky,
the galaxy, the milky way, the shooting stars,
the clouds, the sun, the trees, the hills, the birds, the bees,
and trizillion others.
And He must also have created US.
And He must also have created the Afterlife, heaven and hell.
He lets us live on this earth.
So that we do what He wants us to.
In order to prosper.
And later on when we die, He will make us live for eternity
in a place where He gives us the luxuries
we have always wanted all our lives,
without having to strive for it.
In heaven, no working required, no payment needed, no credit card bills coming your way.
But you wear the silkiest silk, ride the fastest and chicest car, live in houses made of pure gold.
remember : i'm writing this for those who believe.
And when we don't do what He wants us to
and continuosly transgress the earth
creating problems
and more problems
spending extravagantly while others are striving only for a bite of anything
He will then give eternal life too.
But this time, in a place
burning hot
flaming hot
with all kinds of torture you could ever imagine
and even worse than your imagination.
So who goes to heaven and who goes to hell?
He decides.
He wants those who followed His orders.
And of course, He had written it (His orders) clearly in a book. The Book.
And also sent messengers. messengerS.
So it's only fair that, after giving the guidance
through His Book and His Messengers,
He chooses who He wants in His Heaven
and His hell.
The big question is. Who is He?
remember : i'm writing this for those who believe.
lotsa love, battah.

jom cegah jenayah!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Yesterday i went for a crime-fighting talk organized by Nisa', an NGO for moslemat. It was given by En. Kamal Affendi, and he was dead funny. The talk was not boring at all, the laughs that we had, but it ended in a very sad way, he showed us a video on the victims' families, what happened at the crime scene, the sadness of each family member upon receiving the news, everyone was in tears, including i myself. so girls, here are a few tips i learned from the talk:

RAGUT case:

1. Take the neccessary precautions and read do'a before leaving the house, bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alallah.

2. You have to put in mind that your LIFE is much much much more important than your handbag and whatever you have in it (even if it's the handphone you just bought an hour ago, or the only money you had in your bank which you had just withdrawn). They only want the bag, and they'll do whatever they can to get it. They don't really mean to kill you, but if that happens, than it's your own bad luck.

2. Bearing in mind that ANYONE can be a victim, choose a bag which could easily detach itself from the user and not vice versa. synthetic leather is better than genuine leather, hooks are better than tightly woven straps, ie cheap bags which fall apart easily suits you better in Malaysia than a Louis Vuitton. The Louis Vuitton may cost you both your money, and your life.

3. Try hard NOT to become a victim. Victim material : 1. Walk lenggang kangkong style 2. Not fully aware of her handbag's whereabouts, eg pushing the bag behind while putting things in the carboot 3. Lone ranger ie the probability that you are going to be the victim is 1 over 1 if you are the only person there, right? 4. Sweet and naive look (this look attracts both love-puppies and peragut) 5. carrying the handbag together with Dome's Twister, car keys, two other paperbags of just bought blouses and skirts, a bun from Rotiboy, and a scoop of the all time favourite jamoca almond fudge

4. Never walk alone and always be in places where there are many people. At least if there was a peragut, the chances that you might be the victim could be decreased.

5. Walk fast and be cautious, look around for any strange faces (differentiate a mat pit from a normal guy) and make sure they're far far away from you.

6. A bag with short straps is harder to snatch than long ones, but if it gets snatched, and it's a designer one, than it's a one way ticket to 6 feet underground. If you know what i mean. (Please look at #2.

He also talked about ROBBERS. You know, the people who come to you and say "money or your life~!"

The important basic is to make sure there's a way out from the situation since we do not want the robbery to get ugly and suddenly turn into a two in one thing, ie rape case.

1. If you are being robbed in the middle of nowhere, don't panic and look around before giving away your bag. Determine your running away direction and THROW the bag towards the opposite. While the robber's busy reaching out for the bag, RUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!! (p.s/- don't throw the bag too far, the robber will turn to you instead. Throw it just so that he's a bit distracted.)

2. Be sure to put some of your cash and jewellery in the room nearest to the exit. When the robber asks for them, you can easily show them to him and at the same time give him room to leave the house. A robber will definitely choose to run with the loot. If he doesn't run, at least you can.

RAPE, this is the worst case scenario, nauzubillah minzalik.

1. Dress modestly. This is my personal tip. If you're a moslem, pls follow the moslem dress code. You're not being oppressed, it makes you look decent and nice, it lifts your dignity, it makes you free. Don't listen to what the westerners are telling you. I mean hello!!! They totally do not have the slightest bit of shame. Can you imagine a girl and a boy bathing in the same bathroom??? they're just nuts. If being free means having to show of your body just so that people appreciate you, than that's not being free. I can wear whatever i like and still have loads of friends and still be in the in crowd. Being free is being liked for what you are not just what you wear (or do not wear.. :>)

2. Dress modestly. Again?? Yup. Statistics show that the way the female dress turns the males on. Most men are animals, IF they do not practice their religion. But some animals are worse than others. The so-called better ones make dates, get to know the girl and then do whatever he likes. The worse kind never make any dates, jumps on you from behind and forces you to do what he wants.

3. This one comes from Mr Kamal. He told us to swear. Yes, as in the toot! And as loud as you can. And i think it's quite logical. But i thought of modifying it a bit. I mean, maybe shouting ALLLAHUAKBAR in a charging manner could produce the same psychological effect towards the rapist.

4. Next tip. Liquid Gas Solid. Can you guess what i'm talking about? I bet you, you cant. Unless, you've been listening to crime fighting lectures.

Liquid : emptying the bladder

Gas : emptying the bowel from gases

Solid : be my guess this time.. heh, yup you got that right, cleansing your bowel on the spot ie defecation. (kalau tak faham, pls, feel free to tanya)

Hrmm.. as gross as they sound, the LGS thing, they gross out the rapists too and this disturbs their "mood". I mean, logically no one would want to rape a girl who's pouring stool all over the place, right? And it's also a fact that when you are nervous, the gas you produce in your bowels is H2S, yessiree, rotten-egg smelling gas. Definitely a distraction!

Ok, so those are what i heard from En. Kamal. He has more tips, more analysis to share. He has his own tv show about crime fighting, every friday at 8.45pm on tv1, i think so. check the papers to be sure. You can also log on to www.webnisa.net, i think he writes there.

The tips discussed are not the solution to our problem, just a help, as the root is actually the lack of tarbiyyah or education which builds the human personality, instilling faith. Woe to Malaysia's education system which has created demoralized malaysians, totally westernized and ignorant about the true malaysian history and culture. The Malaysians living in the urbans are simply faithless, looking for fun and entertainment only. They work so that they could afford the extravagant life they live, partying all night and all weekend. The suburb Malaysians continue to be left behind, hardly a word of english do they understand, let alone having to study subjects in english, finally winding up taking subjects like perhutanan, per-this and per-that. Malaysians are unaware of the problems of the ummah, the brainwashing done by the zionists so that they could take control over our lives, our oil, our economy, our culture, our food. Now whatever we do is being dictated by the zionists. If you don't believe me, reflect upon your daily life. The music you listen to, the shampoo you use, the food you eat during lunch time, the candies you buy, the clothes you shop for, the cars you drive. Until the education system is changed, the crime rate's going to rise, and will never stop rising. Tips will stay tips and victims will increase. Thank you for spending your time reading this.

lots of love, battah.
